PSY 119 - Psychology of Personal Growth

Prerequisite(s): BT 113  or WR 115  or designated placement.

Course Description: Provides an opportunity for students to deepen and broaden their knowledge of theoretical psychology while gaining insights into their own behaviors and the behavior of others. Consists of small and large group exercises and individual writing assignments, augmented by lecture.

Course Level: Lower Division Collegiate

Course Learning Outcomes:
  • CLO#1: Articulate student’s own “philosophy of life.”
  • CLO#2: Articulate student’s own reasons for career choice and “job values” associated with chosen career path.
  • CLO#3: Describe the relationship between physical and emotional wellness.
