MUS 131 - Class Piano I 2 Credit(s)
Course Description: Provides group instruction for beginning and intermediate piano. Focuses on the development of basic piano skills, note-reading, rhythm, scales, chords, and the introduction to related musical concepts. Contents and expected learning proficiencies of this course may vary from term to term. No previous piano experience required. Course may be repeated for 6 credits total.
Course Level: Lower Division Collegiate
Course Learning Outcomes:
- CLO#1: Develop and display basic piano skills.
- CLO#2: Demonstrate ability to read and play piano music of difficulty appropriate for skill level.
