AM 111L - Electricity for Automotive Technicians Lab

Prerequisite(s): AM 120 or AM 122. Must be an Automotive Technology or Diesel Technology student enrolled as a declared major in the program.

Course Description: Introduces the fundamentals of basic electricity and the use of electrical service and testing equipment. Provides instruction in all phases of starting and charging systems. Emphasis is on hand-held instruments and basic troubleshooting techniques. Course required for all entering Automotive Technology students or waiver for equivalent work experience and ASE Electrical Systems certification.
