Course Description: This lab provides comprehensive coverage of hydrotherapy modalities and instruction on the integration of massage tools into professional practice. Emphasizing hands-on experience, the course enables students to develop practical skills and confidence in utilizing both hydrotherapy techniques and massage tools.This course delves into the principles and techniques of hydrotherapy, utilizing various forms of water, including solid, liquid, and vapor. The course will cover essential safety issues and contraindications to ensure that hydrotherapy is administered safely and effectively. In addition to hydrotherapy, the course offers a thorough examination of various massage tools and their applications. Students will learn how to integrate these tools into their practice to enhance therapeutic outcomes. The course emphasizes hands-on practice, allowing students to develop practical skills and confidence in using both hydrotherapy techniques and massage tools.

• CLO#1: Communicate contraindications and benefits before safely applying hot and cold hydrotherapy techniques. (ILO: Communication)
• CLO#2: Perform safe and appropriate application of massage tools. Including verbal explanation of benefits and contraindications.
• CLO#3: Perform safe and appropriate sanitation of tools, appropriate draping methods, and how to be prepared when working with hydrotherapy and various tools to provide safe care.
