Driver Education

The Rogue Community College Driver Education Program provides teens and young adults with the opportunity to acquire the needed skills to be safe, competent drivers throughout their lives. Our ODOT approved traffic safety course consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction and 12 hours in the car (6 hours behind-the-wheel and 6 hours of observation). A driver’s permit is required prior to entering courses.
Small Business Development Center

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a community-based technical assistance resource available to both existing and prospective small businesses. The RCC Small Business Development Center welcomes you to our offices on the Rogue Community College Redwood Campus, Building B, located just off Redwood Highway/199, at the West Entrance. Staffed by former small business owners and professionals, the SBDC offers:
- Free and confidential one-on-one advising
- Business training courses
- Industry and market research assistance
Funded through a partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration, Business Oregon, the City of Grants Pass, Josephine County and Rogue Community College, the SBDC has been offering business assistance in the Rogue Valley since 1984. Typical areas of business advising and training include:

Illinois Valley Business Entrepreneurial Center (IVBEC)

The RCC SBDC provides an accessible rural outreach center located in the Kerby building training center. One-on-one advising services, business training opportunities, and support resources are available at this location for both existing and prospective business owners of the Illinois Valley. This center also features meeting space, a computer lab, and a commercial kitchen available to entrepreneurs.
Small Business Management (SBM)

The Small Business Management experience is designed to enable owners of established small businesses to be more successful in identifying and achieving their business goals. SBM is a highly effective training that has been offered in the Rogue Valley for over 25 years. It provides a client-tailored approach to business management practices that help business owners more effectively manage their operation and improve their bottom line.
The SBM nine-month curriculum is designed as an interactive classroom experience combined with one-on-one advising sessions. The course provides information and analysis tools that business owners can apply to achieve streamlined operations and improved profitability. The following topics are typically covered:

We offer industry-responsive training to support workforce growth and adaptability, while promoting lifelong learning and personal enrichment through community education-enhancing the quality of life in our communities.
American Heart Association Training Authorized American Heart Association Training Center Network serving Southern Oregon, offering several CPR/First Aid/AED/ACLS courses.
Commercial Truck Driver Training Class A and Class B, FMSCA registered Entry Level Driver provider.
Community Health Worker A 120-hour training, approved by the Oregon Health Authority, which will allow participants to be certified as a Community Health Worker in the state of Oregon.
Employment Skills Training
Forklift Operator Safety Training Meets OSHA safety regulations for industry. The course contains both classroom and hands-on applications of safe forklift operation techniques, giving an operator safety card which is good for 3 years.
Massage Therapy Continuing Education Units These series of courses provide quality trainings to support and bolster licensed massage therapists.
National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) Trainings Wilderness medicine and leadership courses that provide certifications in Wilderness First Aid and Wilderness First Responder. National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS)
Nursing Assistant Students who successfully complete this coursework and clinical hours will be able to apply to take the certification exam through the Oregon State Board of Nursing to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Occupational Skills Training (OST) one-year credit certificate that combines college coursework with extended internships in local businesses with a focus on employment readiness and skills training.
Oregon Real Estate Broker License Training This accelerated course prepares you to qualify for the Oregon Real Estate Broker’s License Exam.
Peer Support Specialist A 56-hour Peer Support Specialist (PSS) certification training, approved by the Oregon Health Authority. Graduates can register as a peer support specialist within the state of Oregon.
Property Management License Training The class will prepare you to take the state exam and is taught by a licensed property manager. The course and instructor are certified by the OREA. State exam is not part of this class.
Wildland Fire Continuing Education Courses designed to support continuing education for wildland fire professionals.
Customized Training Targeted, custom-designed training in partnership with business, industry, K-12, and/or workforce development agencies.
