Course Description: Explores the types of trauma experienced by young children, the impact of trauma on early brain development, and principles of working with children and families who have experienced trauma. Emphasizes trauma-informed practices and importance of self-reflection and self-care for professionals.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- CLO#1: Identify types of trauma experienced by young children and the impact on brain development. (ILO: Information Literacy)
- CLO#2: Summarize guiding principles of trauma-informed practices for working with children and families who have experienced trauma.
