Course Description: The emphasis of the course is designed to cover the functions of management from a socially responsible and ethical view. Students will be able to distinguish among different types of plans, develop mission statements, set goals and objectives, design an organizational structure, and recognize staffing and training issues. They will also be exposed to motivation and leadership theories, managing human resources, working in teams, and evaluation of the planning process.

Course Learning Outcomes:

CLO#1: Describe the functions of management.
CLO#2: Critique management styles and identify best practices within an organization. (ILO: Critical Thinking)
CLO#3: Explain the difference between tactical, operational, strategic, and contingency planning.
