DA 206L - Dental Specialties Lab

Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of the first two terms of a Dental program. 

Corequisite(s): DA 206  

Course Description: Introduces applied psychology through role-playing as related to the clinical application in dental specialties. Guest speakers representing dental specialties may be scheduled.

Course Learning Outcomes:
  • CLO#1: Identify the various principles and armamentariums of the different dental specialties.
  • CLO#2: Demonstrate patient management skills through the use of psychological concepts and communication skills. (ILO: Critical Thinking)
  • CLO#3: Demonstrate legally delegable dental assisting skills specific to each dental specialty.
