DA 206L - Dental Specialties Lab 1 Credit(s)
Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of the first two terms of a Dental program.
Corequisite(s): DA 206
Course Description: Introduces applied psychology through role-playing as related to the clinical application in dental specialties. Guest speakers representing dental specialties may be scheduled.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- CLO#1: Identify the various principles and armamentariums of the different dental specialties.
- CLO#2: Demonstrate patient management skills through the use of psychological concepts and communication skills. (ILO: Critical Thinking)
- CLO#3: Demonstrate legally delegable dental assisting skills specific to each dental specialty.

Length of Course: A required state minimum of (30) and a standard RCC delivery of (33) lab hours per term, not to exceed (36) hours per term.
