Successful completion of the first two terms of a Dental program.

Course Description: Studies the various fields of specialized dentistry recognized by the American Dental Association.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- CLO#1: Identify the various dental specialties.
- CLO#2: Identify the general principles associated with each dental specialty, including but not limited to orthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery, forensic dentistry, pediatrics, and public health.
- CLO#3: Discuss legally delegable dental assisting skills specific to each dental specialty.
- CLO#4: Apply patient management skills using psychological concepts and communication techniques. (ILO: Communication)
