Course Description: Second of a two part series designed to further develop skills of different part setups and Tool work planes. Learners will develop hands-on machine interface skills along with single and multi-vise setups needed to support students entering the Manufacturing job market. This course covers safety care and maintenance of the machine, tool usage and tool life. Course will be delivered through hands on instruction emphasizing safety and proper operation through a series of projects.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- CLO#1: Demonstrate operational modes of the Haas controller.
- CLO#2: Apply proper techniques for multiple vise operations.
- CLO#3: Match blueprint specifications to machined part for proper application. (ILO: Critical Thinking)
- CLO#4: Demonstrate proper shop safety practices.
