MTH 20 or designated placement.

MTH 102CT or MTH 60 , and MFG 121
Course Description: This course is designed to develop an understanding as well as the capabilities and limitations of the Haas VF-Series Mill CNC Control. Basic functions and operating modes of the control are also covered as well as safety and maintenance.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- CLO#1: Demonstrate safety and proper set up of a CNC milling machine.
- CLO#2: Demonstrate operational modes of the Haas controller.
- CLO#3: Program an offset in the controller to compensate for dimensional change. (ILO: Information Literacy)
- CLO#4: Analyze setup sheets to predict correct tools required to complete a project.
- CLO#5: Apply course learning objectives to create a series of usable hand tools.
Typical Required and Recommended Equipment and Materials: Scientific calculator (Texas Instrument TI-36X is recommended), safety glasses.
