Prerequisite(s):
ST 101 and permission of faculty advisor.
Course Description: Provides advanced work-related study and learning in selected occupational environments. Students will synthesize self-reflection and mentor evaluations to develop skills related to occupational goals and individual workplan. Focus is on skill mastery. Course is repeatable up to 12 credits.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- CLO#1: Perform occupation-related duties and tasks as directed.
- CLO#2: Communicate with worksite leads to create advanced skill attainment goals and competency benchmarks in relation to the student’s work plan.
- CLO #3 Synthesizes self-reflections, mentor feedback, and prior academic learning to support skill attainment. (ILO: Critical Thinking)
- CLO#4: Demonstrate work ethics and employability skills at a level of competence that meets or exceeds both industry and workplace culture standards.
