BT 121 - Digital Marketing and e-Commerce

Note: If on the Business Marketing AAS, take this course before BA 243 .

Course Description: This course provides an in-depth introduction to the fields of digital marketing and e-commerce and how the Internet is utilized to improve business profit. Students will explore how the Internet serves as a powerful marketing tool, learning to differentiate between various e-commerce types and channels. The course covers key concepts in website design, allowing students to compare and contrast effective approaches, and emphasizes the critical role of search engine optimization (SEO) in driving online visibility.

Course Learning Outcomes:

  • CLO#1: Differentiate between the different e-commerce types and channels.
  • CLO#2: Contrast and compare the effectiveness of different website designs. (ILO: Communication)
