Course Description: Examines the concepts and principles of the American political system including political ideologies, civil liberties, and the role of interest groups, media and public participation in campaigns and elections.

Course Learning Outcomes:

  • CLO#1: Trace the development of American ideologies and political culture.
  • CLO#2: Explain the U.S. Constitution: historical antecedents and contemporary perspectives.
