Course Description: This support course focuses on the foundational skills and concepts needed to persist and succeed in WR 115  Introduction to Expository Writing. In an interactive setting, students will receive appropriate support in the strategies and conventions of college-level writing with an emphasis on in-class writing and reading comprehension. 

Course Learning Outcomes:

  • CLO#1: Develop writing with concrete examples relevant to the intended audience. (ILO: Communication)
  • CLO#2: Express ideas in a clear and readily understandable manner.
  • CLO#3: Apply knowledge of voice and style relevant to the audience and the specific writing task.
