Prerequisite(s):
MUS 131 or equivalent piano experience.
Course Description: Provides group instruction for beginning and intermediate piano. Focuses on the development of basic piano skills, note-reading, rhythm, scales, chords, and the introduction to related musical concepts. Contents and expected learning proficiencies of this course may vary from term to term. Course may be repeated for six credits total.

Course Learning Outcomes:
- CLO#1: Read and play music of intermediate to advanced level with correct notes, rhythm, and fingering. (ILO: Communication)
- CLO#2: Play all twelve minor scales with accompanying primary chords using proper fingering and technique.
- CLO#3: Transpose short compositions to various major and minor keys.
