Prerequisite(s):
Successful completion of the first five terms of the Dental Hygiene program.
Course Description: Explores the role and scope of research in dental hygiene. Introduces basic strategies, methodologies, and the types of research and topics include barriers to effective research; identifying appropriate sources of information for a given task; evaluating information for a given purpose; recognizing misinformation. Thoughtful analysis of current health research is included.
