DH 113 - Dental Head and Neck Anatomy 4 Credit(s)
Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into a Dental program.
Course Description: This course studies the anatomical structures of the head and neck regions and relates these structures to the clinical practice of dental hygiene.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- CLO#1: Explain and identify the anatomy and muscular system of the head and neck and their functions.
- CLO#2: Construct the anatomy of the temporomandibular joint and demonstrate its function.
- CLO#3: Locate and explain the anatomy and physiology of the glandular tissue, nervous system, and the lymphatic system of the head and neck.
- CLO#4: Explain and illustrate the fascial spaces and blood supply of the head and neck.
- CLO#5: Synthesize information acquired in a critical, scientific and effective manner. (ILO: Critical Thinking)
