APR 202B - Machinist CAM II Mastercam 3D 2 Credit(s)
Prerequisite(s):
Registered Apprentice with Rogue Industrial Advanced Manufacturing JATC.
Course Description: As the second of two courses for Mastercam CAD/CAM software, this course teaches students how to construct advanced 3D geometric models using geometric, free form, and derived surface types.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- CLO#1: Determine which set of software tools will produce the desired results and understands the intent and the proper procedures for setting up the 3D CAD/CAM model and posting code for CNC mill.
- CLO#2: Prevent, identify, or solve problems in 3D CAD/CAM models, code, and computers. (ILO: Critical Thinking)
- CLO#3: Demonstrate proper safety practices in the lab and workplace.
Typical Required and Recommended Equipment and Materials: Flash drive, 8 Gig minimum recommended.

Length of Course: A required state minimum of (40) and a standard RCC delivery of (44) lecture/lab hours per term, not to exceed (48) hours per term.
