WR 115 and second year standing in the program, or permission of Instructor.
Corequisite(s):
WR 115Q as required
Course Description: This course utilizes CAD for design, machining, manual and CNC along with 3d additive manufacturing to produce a viable product.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- CLO#1: Develop a prototype product proposal.
- CLO#2: Apply design, machining, and material science to complete a product prototype. (ILO: Critical Thinking)
- CLO#3: Demonstrate safe and proper shop practices.
- CLO#4: Present and defend final prototype.
Typical Required and Recommended Equipment and Materials: Equipment and materials will vary for each individual student. Projects built for student’s personal use will be funded by the student.
