GEOG 120 - World Regional Geography

Course Description: Examines the eleven regions of the world and their interconnections. Perspectives from physical, political, historical, economic, and cultural geography are used to characterize the individual regions and the ways in which they are knit together into a spatial framework.

Course Learning Outcomes:

  • CLO#1: Explain geographical concepts with an emphasis on human/environment interaction and geopolitics.
  • CLO#2: Evaluate diverse human values and points of view.
  • CLO#3: Identify sustainable practices related to human development.
  • CLO#4: Locate and analyze geographic data for world cultures and regions. (ILO: Information Literacy)
