Course Description: Provides students with the skills to turn conflict into a positive experience. Conflict is inevitable in interpersonal relationships, especially in the workplace, but the ability to constructively handle conflict and manage interpersonal differences will enhance relationships with your co-workers, supervisors, and subordinates. Students will identify what conflict is, positive and negative aspects of conflict, types and sources of conflict, and strategies in dealing with conflict.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- CLO#1: Identify common sources and types of conflict found in the workplace.
- CLO#2: Identify the positive and negative aspects of conflict in the workplace.
- CLO#3: Differentiate among various strategies used to effectively deal with conflict. (ILO: Critical Thinking)
