APR 218A - Sheet Metal - AutoCAD Basics

Prerequisite(s):  

Registered Apprentice with the South Central Oregon Sheet Metal JATC.

Course Description: Apprentices in this course will learn AutoCAD key functions to create AutoCAD layout projects that supports industry’s need for precise design, accurate fabrication, and an ability to make adjustments so that errors are reduced in production. 

Course Learning Outcomes:
 

  • CLO#1: Describe the application of AutoCAD in construction and identify its key functions within the industry.
  • CLO#2: Demonstrate the use of basic AutoCAD tools and key functions.
  • CLO#3: Create an assigned AutoCAD layout based on project specifications. (ILO: Critical Thinking)
