APR 218D - Sheet Metal - Brazing and Soldering

Prerequisite(s):  

Registered Apprentice with the South Central Oregon Sheet Metal JATC.

Course Description: This course teaches apprentices proper brazing and soldering techniques that allow for joining different metals and thin sheets without damaging base metals. This course prepares apprentices to take a brazing certification test.

Course Learning Outcomes:
 

  • CLO#1: Demonstrate proper techniques for prepping and performing brazing & soldering.
  • CLO#2: Demonstrate proper techniques in soldering with soldering irons. (ILO: Critical Thinking)
  • CLO#3: Prepare to take and pass the Brazing certification test.
