APR 105CO - Apprenticeship CPL - Construction

Prerequisite(s):  

Completion of an Apprenticeship program of study Journey card and/or state or federal sanctioned license.

Course Description: In recognition of knowledge and skills gained through structured on-the-job training, apprentices will be awarded credit based on the assessment of their knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fabrication, installation, and layout in blueprints as evidenced by the award of Journey Status awarded by the Bureau of Labor and Industries. All training follows the state and Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) standards, supervised by a Journey-level trade professional and reported to the Coordinator at the end of each month. Credits will be awarded only after the apprentice has completed all coursework required for the designated Associate of Applied Science degree and the local JATC has completed the apprentice from the program. A completion card and/or state required license specific to the trade must be presented at the time credit is awarded. 

Course Learning Outcomes:
CLO#1: Demonstrate the skills necessary meet the requirements for competency as defined in the apprenticeship standard for this occupation. This includes successful completion of the apprenticeship program, that results in the award of a Journey Card, License, or other Industry Recognized Credential. (ILO: Information Literacy)
