Prerequisite(s):
Registered Apprentice with Rogue Industrial Advanced Manufacturing JATC.
Course Description: This course is designed to develop an understanding as well as the capabilities and limitations of the Haas VF-Series Mill CNC Control. Basic functions and operating modes of the control are also covered as well as safety and maintenance.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- CLO#1: Observe and demonstrate safe and correct steps to set up a CNC milling machine for production.
- CLO#2: Demonstrate operation modes of the Haas controller.
- CLO#3: Analyze setup sheets to judge which sets of tools and/or procedures are required to complete projects. (Critical Thinking)
- CLO#4: Safely perform routine machine maintenance according to established procedures.
Typical Required and Recommended Equipment and Materials: Scientific calculator (Texas Instrument TI-36X is recommended), safety glasses.

Length of Course: A required state minimum of (40) and a standard RCC delivery of (44) lecture/lab hours per term, not to exceed (48) hours per term.
