Career Pathway Certificate
About the Program
The EMT pathway certificate is designed to prepare students for immediate employment in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) field. This program provides comprehensive training for entry-level EMTs, focusing on the essential knowledge, skills, and professional standards required by hospitals, ambulance services, and fire departments.
Upon successful completion of the EMT coursework, students become eligible to sit for both the Oregon State and National Registry EMT certification exams. The curriculum is structured to meet current industry requirements and regulatory standards, ensuring graduates are well-equipped to provide critical pre-hospital care in diverse emergency settings.
Credit for Prior Learning
Students may be eligible to receive credit toward a certificate or degree based on demonstrated competency of the course learning outcomes from prior learning, training, or experiences. For more information, consult your advisor or a program representative.
