Prerequisite(s):
Registered Apprentice with the South-Central Oregon Sheet Metal JATC.
Course Description: This is an advanced course and functions as the ‘capstone’ course for the end of the first year in the Sheet Metal Apprenticeship program. Apprentices will build fittings using tools and techniques learned in the first two courses.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- CLO#1: Construct two fittings using the parallel line layout method based on given dimensions and specifications. (ILO: Quantitative Literacy and Reasoning)
- CLO#2: Analyze fitting design requirements and select appropriate tools and fabrication techniques to construct two advanced sheet metal fittings.
