PRD 240 - Short Film Production

PRD 101  

Course Description: Introduces students to the complete short film and music video production process using both traditional and virtual production techniques. Students will learn the fundamentals of story development, directing, cinematography, lighting, audio recording, editing, and visual effects. Students will also explore emerging tools such as virtual production techniques to blend live-action and digital environments. Through hands-on projects, they will plan and produce original short films or music videos from concept to final cut, gaining practical experience with industry-standard workflows and collaborative production practices.

  • CLO #1: Develop and produce a short film or music video that effectively communicates a visual narrative through writing, directing, and cinematic storytelling techniques.
